Mario Vega, New acting Chief Commercial Officer of the FNC

The Colombian Coffee Growers Federation (FNC) informs its clients and stakeholders about a new appointment in the company.

Mario Eduardo Vega Roa current Commercial Planning Director of the Colombian Coffee Growers Federation (FNC), has taken over as acting Chief Commercial Officer. He graduated as economist from the Universidad de los Andes, with a specialization in finance and an MBA of that same university, as well as a Master in Global Management of Tulane University.

He joined the FNC in May 2011, after working with the Colombian government during more than six years for the farming sector, in such entities as the Ministry of Foreign Trade, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, and the Colombian Agriculture Institute (ICA). He previously worked in the textile export sector, in the financial and foreign trade areas.

At the FNC, he has assumed different responsibilities in the Commercial Division: he joined as Strategic Marketing Director, participating in the definition of the Commercial Division’s new structure. Already as Planning Director, he has led the definition of the Commercial Operating Plan, has been in charge of definition and management of projects with strategic customers such as Nespresso, Nestlé, and Coca-Cola, and of creation of the Sustainable Trade Coordination, among others.

Mario Vega replaces Felipe Robayo, who left the FNC to devote himself to personal projects.
